Beginning School Year 2018-2019 Ferris ISD Food Service qualifies for a new program. This program is Community Eligibility Provision or CEP.

CEP means every student enrolled at FISD will receive a Free breakfast and a Free lunch each day.

How is this possible? USDA and TDA have added students who receive Medicaid to our list of those who receive SNAP, TANF, FDPIR, Homeless and Migrant. By adding Medicaid our number of free students grew, allowing us to move to CEP.

What does this mean to you and your student?

   a. No applications will have to be completed.

   b. No student will need to charge meals.

   c. No student will receive the alternate tray.

What do you need to do?

Cancel all automatic payments set up through  This web site will shut     down this July to allow everyone time to cancel automatic payments. We will open it back up in August.

1. Question- What about money left in my students account?

Answer- Each campus will continue to sell extra items, Pizza, milk and yeast rolls.  Your student may use their money for these items.

2. Question-May I deposit money into my students account for extras?

Answer- Yes, you may. Your students’ lunch accounts will continue to move to each campus as your student moves. Account money will be available for those extra purchases.

3. Question- My student is a graduating Senior. What happens to their money?

Answer- Do you have other students in the district? If so we can easily move that money. Just let us know how you prefer to handle it.

We want to thank each of you for allowing us to serve your students. CEP will allow our staff to serve each student without the worry of money because a Hungry Student Cannot Learn.
